TDK introduces new and more robust DC link capacitors

TDK's new rugged new B3277*M series capacitors further expands the range of EPCOS film capacitor DC support applications. The new range is suitable for extreme environmental conditions and is certified for 1000 hours of THB (temperature, humidity and bias) testing at 85 ° C, 85% relative humidity and rated voltage.

The new series of capacitors are RoHS compliant, rated from 450 V DC to 1600 V DC, with capacitance values between 0.33 μF and 120 μF and a maximum operating temperature of 105 °C.

Product pin pitch is divided into 27.5mm, 37.5mm and 52.5mm, depending on the rated voltage and capacitance value, and is available in 2-pin or 4-pin versions. Self-healing capacitors have a service life of up to 50,000 hours at rated voltages and operating temperatures of 85 °C.

The new series of capacitors are AEC-Q200 compliant and suitable for a wide range of applications. Typical applications include DC links for solar power plant converters, as well as frequency converters and power supplies for industrial applications.
