Tiny MMIC Switches Provide 3W Power Handling and High IP3 in 2x2mm Packages

Mini-Circuits has expanded our JSW-series of tiny MMIC reflective switches with new SP3T, SP4T, SP5T and high-dynamic-range SPDT models to meet your signal routing needs for a wide range of 50Ω and 75Ω systems from 5 to 3000 MHz.  Fabricated using a silicon-on-insulator process, JSW-series switches feature built-in CMOS drivers in an ultra-tiny 2x2mm package, accommodating almost any PCB layout.  Integrated negative voltage generators allow these switches to operate on a single positive supply voltage without DC blocking capacitors (unless external DC current is present at the RF ports).  All models provide very fast switching speed (1.9µs on time, 1.4 µs off time), low insertion loss, high isolation, high input IP3, and high power handling relative to device size.

Model JSW2-33HDR-75+ is a 75Ω SPDT switch operating from 5 to 3000 MHz.  This model is designed to provide very high dynamic range with IIP3 of +70 dBm, making it ideal for use with high modulation signals such as digital CATV, QAM and other dense waveforms.  It provides 0.33 dB insertion loss, high RF input power handling of 3W, and 42 dB isolation.  It operates on a single supply voltage from +2.3 to +4.8V with low current consumption of 37µA.

Model JSW3-23DR-75+ is a 75Ω SP3T switch operating from 5 to 2000 MHz.  This model provides high IIP3 of +59 dBm, resulting in little or negligible intermodulation and meeting requirements for digital communication signals.  It achieves 0.7 dB insertion loss, 3W RF input power handling and 38 dB isolation.  The switch operates on a single +2.5 to +4.8V supply with low current consumption of 40µA.

Model JSW3-272DR+ is a 50Ω SP3T switch operating from 5 to 2700 MHz.  This model provides high IIP3 of +59dBm, 0.6 dB insertion loss, 3W RF input power handling, and 37 dB isolation.  It operates on a single +2.5 to +4.8V supply with low current consumption of 40µA.

Model JSW4-23DR-75+ is a 75Ω SP4T switch operating from 5 to 2000 MHz.  This model provides high IIP3 of +59 dBm, 0.7 dB insertion loss, 3W RF input power handling, and 38 dB isolation.  It operates on a single +2.5 to +4.8V supply with low current consumption of 40µA.
