Wi-Fi chip enables audio visual experience

The AR9374 Wi-Fi chip offers a 2x2 dual-band 802.11n MIMO solution and 40-MHz transmissions to support high data-rate USB and embedded CE applications. The part delivers up to 170 Mbit/s of actual wireless throughput (300-Mbit/s data rate) and a full complement of advanced 11n options (transmit beam forming, low density parity check, space-time block code, maximum ratio combine, and maximum likelihood detection receiver).

In addition, the chip integrates efficient power amplifiers, LNAs, CPU, and memory. It also achieves full host offload without the use of external memory and offers efficient sleep mode and wake-on-wireless mode to reduce system power consumption.
